PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminate film capable of enhancing luminance, a backlight unit and a liquid crystal display device including the laminate film, and a production method of the laminate film.SOLUTION: A laminate film 7, 8 includes an optical functional layer 4 and a barrier layer 6 stacked on at least one surface of the optical functional layer 4, and the laminate film 7, 8 includes a film 5 having a refractive index larger than a refractive index of the optical functional layer 4, on a lateral surface of the optical functional layer 4.
