PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can reduce a noise from the apparatus.SOLUTION: An optical writing device 21 such as optical writing means is covered by a support plate 90 supporting the optical writing device 21 and a duct 111. The support plate 90 has an opening 99 formed at a position opposite to a scanner attachment part 182 such as an attachment part of an optical housing 80 such as a housing when the optical writing device 21 is attached to an apparatus body, so as to release, from the opening 99, a noise generated from the scanner attachment part 182 and bearing part 50a during drive of a polygon scanner 50 such as deflection means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 |
