PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element which is small in voltage fluctuation and color fluctuation.SOLUTION: An organic EL element (1) of the present invention comprises: a pair of a positive electrode (20) and a negative electrode (60); and a first light-emitting unit (30), a charge-generation unit (40) and a second light-emitting unit (50) between the positive and negative electrodes which are laminated in turn from the side of the positive electrode (20). The first light-emitting unit (30) or the second light-emitting unit (50) has a hole-injection/transport layer (32) or (52) including a hole injection layer (32a) or (52a) therein. In the first light-emitting unit (30) or the second light-emitting unit (50), the thickness (d) of the hole-injection/transport layer (32) or (52), and the thickness (d) of the hole injection layer (32a) or (52a) satisfy the following conditional expression: d/d≤0.20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
