PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric tool enables or disables operation of an on-lock mechanism of a switch in interlock with mode switching means.SOLUTION: An electric tool, which has a switch 6 for turning on or off a motor 31, a power transmitting mechanism that drives driving power of the motor in a plurality of first and second modes and mode switching means 50 that performs switching of the modes, is provided with an on-lock button (63) of the switch, where a cover member 70 is opened to make the lock button accessible (enables on-lock operation) during the first mode, and the cover member 70 is closed as shown by an arrow 75 to make the lock button unaccessible (prohibits the on-lock operation) during the second mode. An operator can easily identify whether or not the on-lock operation is possible and whether the cover member is opened or closed, by visual recognition or tactile feeling.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
