PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for electrostatic charge image development that suppresses unevenness in glossiness occurring when an image is formed on a recording medium having large irregularities on a surface.SOLUTION: There is provided a toner for electrostatic charge image development containing a binder resin, a colorant, and a mold release agent and having a sea-island structure having a sea part including the binder resin colorant and island parts including the mold release agent, where the degree of maldistribution B of the island parts including the mold release agent is represented by the following formula (1): degree of maldistribution B=2d/D, where D represents the equivalent circle diameter (μm) of a toner in observation of the cross section of the toner, and d represents the distance (μm) from the center of gravity of the toner to the center of gravity of the island parts including the mold release agent in the observation of the cross section of the toner; the most frequent value of the distribution of the degree of maldistribution B is 0.75 or more and 1.00 or less; and the skewness of the distribution of the degree of maldistribution B is -1.10 or more and -0.50 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
