PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring apparatus that does not decrease the edge detecting accuracy and improves the operational efficiency of users when detecting edges.SOLUTION: The measuring apparatus includes: a to-be-displayed image creating section creating a to-be-displayed image by performing, on a to-be-measured image, processing at least for reducing the image size; a display section displaying the to-be-displayed image created by the to-be-displayed image creating section; a coordinates conversion section converting the coordinates in an edge detection range designated on the to-be-displayed image displayed by the display section into coordinates on the to-be-measured image; and an edge detecting section detecting an edge in an edge detection range on the to-be-measured image corresponding to the edge detection range designated on the to-be-imaged image based on the coordinates on the to-be-measured image converted by the coordinates conversion section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
