The present invention relates to a method for producing an interleukin-2 protein using methylotrophic yeast. The method for producing interleukin-2 of the present invention shows a high growth and protein synthesis rate by establishing an optimum cell line, mass produces a protein containing interleukin-2 by establishing an optimum culture condition using methanol which is a low-cost carbon source, and produces a high-purity interleukin-2 by simplifying the separation and purification process of proteins, thereby showing a marked effect in mass producing interleukin-2.
