The invention relates to a wind power plant having a vertical axis of rotation, wherein the turbine composed of a stator and a rotor is directly fixed to the generator housing. This is achieved preferably in that the stator blade holders (2) carrying the stator blades (4) are directly fastened to the housing of the generator (1). The mass of the relatively heavy generator assembly can thus be used profitably for the stabilization of the stator.
