Provided is a medical device whereby debris collected in a filter can be effectively suctioned and removed, and dropping of debris from a filter part can be suppressed. A medical device (10) having: a long shaft part (40); a filter part (50) provided with a plurality of gaps (52) and formed in a mesh shape, and capable of deforming to a basket-shaped expanded state so as to form a depression (53), and a contracted state in which an opening edge (53A) of the depression (53) is contracted from the expanded state; and a support part (60) formed so as to be provided with a plurality of gaps (62) larger than the gaps (52) of the filter part, the support part (60) being provided with a joining part (63) joined to the opening edge (53A) of the filter part and a support-side connecting part (61) connected to the shaft part (40); the support-side connecting part (61) being able to be positioned in the depression (53) in the expanded state, and the support-side connecting part (61) being positioned so as to be separated from the filter part (50) while the joining part (63) contracts together with the opening edge (53A) in the contracted state. |
