A centrifugal fan, comprising: an impeller base (10); and blades (20), each blade comprising an air-compensation channel that allows airflow to flow from the upwind side of the blade (20) to the downwind side of the blade (20) so as to provide air-compensation to the negative pressure area of the blade (20). An air conditioner having said centrifugal fan is also disclosed. In the centrifugal fan, airflow is centrifugally blown outward along the upwind side of the blades, and the airflow on the upwind side is used to compensate the negative pressure area at the backwind side, said area being where airflow separation is created. This compensation reduces or eliminates negative pressure at the backwind side and further eliminates the airflow vortex created by air flow separation, thereby reducing the noise produced by the centrifugal fan.
