The present invention ensures good recognition performance for sound outputted from an acoustic output device and external sound, and reduces the occurrence of an uncomfortable feeling while the acoustic output device is worn. An acoustic output device is provided with: a housing in which a speaker is disposed; and a sound guiding hook that has an internal space formed as a sound guiding space through which sound outputted from the speaker is guided and that has one end connected to the housing and the other end having an opening from which the sound guided through the sound guiding space is emitted. The sound guiding hook is worn on a root part of an auricle, and the other end of the sound guiding hook is in a state of non-contact with an ear. Accordingly, the sound outputted from the speaker is transmitted to a user via the sound-guiding hook, and the other end having the opening from which the sound is emitted is worn in the state of non-contact with the ear. Consequently, good recognition performance for sound output from the acoustic output device and external sound can be ensured, and the occurrence of an uncomfortable feeling while the acoustic output device is worn can be reduced. |
