The objective of the invention is to provide a headphone device wherein suppression of operating errors is aimed at. A headphone device (1) comprises sound emission units (2) for emitting sounds, and touch sensor surfaces (23A) each disposed on the opposite side to the sound emitting direction of the respective sound emission unit, and protection members (44) each surrounding the periphery of the respective touch sensor surfaces are disposed. In this way, even if the user's hands reach the sound emission units when attaching the sound emission units to the ears, when changing the positions of the sound emission units relative to the ears or when detaching the sound emission units from the ears, the protection members, which are so disposed as to surround the peripheries of the respective touch sensor surfaces, constitute barriers, with the result that the barriers are held by the user's hands, thereby suppressing the user's unintentional touches on the touch sensor surfaces.
