[Problem] To propose a method for operating a sintering machine, by which it is possible to improve the permeability of a sintering raw material charging layer and enhance sinterability when a sintering mixed material containing a magnetizable micro-powder raw material is being sintered. [Solution] A method for operating a sintering machine, in which a sintering mixed material is charged onto a palette of the sintering machine via a chute formed by disposing a magnet on a back surface, and then sintered, wherein: when a magnetizable micro-powder raw material in the sintering mixed material is being charged onto the palette, the magnetic force FM of the magnet is adjusted so that the speed ν of the magnetizable micro-powder raw material at a lower end section of the chute is 1/5 to 4/5ν1, where ν1 is the speed of magnetizable micro-powder raw material when no magnetic force is being applied on the chute and the speed of the sintering mixed material is zero. |
