[Problem] To provide a genotype estimating device and a method capable of estimating a genotype with good precision. [Solution] A genotype estimating device according to an embodiment is provided with an acquiring unit and an estimating unit. The acquiring unit acquires the clustering intensity of genotype data of a plurality of specimens including an unknown specimen having an unknown genotype and a known specimen having a known genotype. The estimating unit estimates a genotype of the unknown specimen on the basis of the genotype data when the clustering intensity is greater than a first threshold, and outputs the estimated result.
