The invention relates to a positioning assembly and a related method. The positioning assembly includes a first pipe (4) having an outer diameter DE; a second pipe (6) having an inner diameter DI greater than the outer diameter DE; and a positioning device (8) fixing the first pipe in the second pipe. The positioning device (8) includes at least one expansion element (26). Each expansion element has an expansion state and a retraction state. Besides, when the expansion element is in the expansion state, the expansion element is suitable for preventing the first pipe from moving radially or axially relative to the second pipe. The invention is applied to positioning of cast iron pipes during a transportation process. |
