[Problem] To provide a communication device and communication method which, in communication for responding to a frame that is transmitted to each of multiple communication devices, can improve communication efficiency while avoiding response conflicts. [Solution] A communication device provided with: a processing unit which generates a frame indicating specification information for specifying transmission processing which is different for each of a plurality of other communication devices and is for use in multiplexing; and a communication unit which transmits the frame generated by the processing unit to the plurality of communication devices. A communication device provided with a processing unit which performs processing to receive the frame from an other communication device and performs processing to respond to the frame in accordance with the transmission processing which, different for each of the communication devices, is indicated by the aforementioned other communication device.
