A tabbing apparatus and a control method therefor are disclosed. The tabbing apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a fixed gripper unit to which are fixed a plurality of wires supplied from a wire supply unit; a movable gripper unit which pulls the plurality of wires fixed to the fixed gripper unit; a cutter unit which forms a wire set by cutting the plurality of wires after the movable gripper unit pulls the plurality of wires; and a transfer gripper unit which holds the plurality of wires arranged between the fixed gripper unit and the movable gripper unit before the cutter unit cuts the plurality of wires, and laminates the wire set on a cell after the cutter unit cuts the plurality of wires.
