AIRCRAFT CABINET WITH DETACHABLE OUTER PANELS AND ATTACHMENT MECHANISM THEREFOR

A cabinet for installation in an aircraft, having a shell defining a load-bearing structure of the cabinet and an outer panel configured to be detachably connected to the shell, the outer panel defining at least a part of the visible surfaces of the cabinet. The outer panel is detachably connected to the shell in a stationary position relative to the shell through engagement of complementary attachment members respectively attached to the outer panel and to the shell, the complementary attachment members allowing an adjustment of the stationary position of the outer panel relative to the shell when the outer panel is detached from the shell. A method of manufacturing a cabinet for an aircraft, and an attachment mechanism for detachably connecting two panels with an adjustable stationary relative position are also discussed.
