One or more aspects of the present disclosure provide for the reliable transmission of control information utilizing a plurality of physical communication links or channels. In some aspects, multi-link diversity may be utilized, wherein control information is jointly encoded and transmitted across a plurality of physical links. In other aspects, selection diversity may be utilized, wherein control information is transmitted across one or more selected links based on a determination that the selected link or links have the best quality, and therefore reliability.
