An absorbent article provided with an absorbent body (4) including a long and narrow absorbent core (40) which is long in the front-rear direction of the absorbent article, and is positioned between a non-skin-side sheet (3) for forming a non-skin-facing surface and skin-side sheets (2a, 2b) for forming a skin-facing surface, wherein: the absorbent core (40) is equipped with lateral regions (45) positioned in an excretion section on both sides in the widthwise direction, and a center region (41) which is thicker than the lateral regions (45) and positioned to the center in the widthwise direction relative to the lateral regions (45); the lateral regions (45) and the center region (41) are integrally formed with one another; the center region (41) projects in the direction of the non-skin-side sheet; and a region of the absorbent body (4) where the lateral regions (45) are present when seen from a planar view has a non-joined region not joined to the non-skin-side sheet (3).
