A segmentation method for a commodity picture and a device thereof. The segmentation method comprises: performing picture classification on input commodity pictures according to a main body location of a commodity picture; according to a picture classification result, selecting corresponding main body location templates for different categories of commodity pictures, wherein predefined location parameters in each main body location template are different, and each main body location template sets a weight distribution field according to the predefined location parameters, wherein the weight distribution field embodies the possibility of each pixel in the commodity picture belonging to the foreground or background; and performing picture segmentation according to the weight distribution field in the selected main body location template so as to segment the main body of the commodity from the commodity picture. Pictures can be firstly classified according to a main body location before picture segmentation is performed, and compared with the prior art that a picture is directly segmented, a segmentation result is optimized after the pictures are classified. |
