[Problem] To provide a light penetration depth evaluation method, a performance test method in which the evaluation method is used, and an optical tomography apparatus with which the penetration depth of UV light can be evaluated in a subject in a non-destructive, non-invasive manner. [Solution] An optical tomography method is used, wherein low-coherence light (L0) is split into measurement light (L1) and reference light (L2), the measurement light (L1) is linearly irradiated on a subject (S), reflected light (L3) and the reference light (L2) from the subject (S) are superimposed on each other due to the irradiation of the measurement light (L1), thereby generating interference light (L4), and a two-dimensional spectroscopic tomographic image of the subject (S) is obtained by performing spectroscopic detection of the interference light (L4) and analyzing the frequency. A given wavelength region of the UV region is extracted from the low-coherence light containing a wavelength region ranging from the UV to the visible light region so as to shape the given wavelength region into a spectrum having a given shape, a two two-dimensional spectroscopic tomographic image is obtained using the low-coherence light (L0), and the penetration depth of measured light with respect to the subject is evaluated on the basis of the two-dimensional spectroscopic tomographic image. |
