A method for manufacturing a cylindrical member, said method having: a step (S11) wherein an edge-bending process is performed on both ends in the lengthwise direction of a plate material (101); a step (S12) wherein a primary beveling process is performed on each edge surface of the plate material (101) that has been subjected to edge-bending; a step (S13) wherein the plate material (101) is bent into a ring shape; a step (S14) wherein a secondary beveling process is performed on each edge surface (103, 104) of the plate material (101) that has been bent into a ring shape; and a step (S15) wherein the edge surfaces (104) of the plate material (101) are joined to each other. Thus, it is possible to manufacture a high-quality cylindrical member.
