Provided are a cylindrical-structure welding system and welding method which make it possible to efficiently weld cylindrical structures with a higher degree of accuracy. A cylindrical-structure welding system for welding facing welding end surfaces which are the end surfaces of an upper cylindrical structure and a lower cylindrical structure in the cylinder axial direction thereof, the welding system having: two or more welding devices positioned at equal intervals in the cylinder circumferential direction so as to face the welding end surfaces of the upper and lower cylindrical structures; a movement device for relatively rotating the upper cylindrical structure, the lower cylindrical structure and the welding devices in the cylinder circumferential direction; and a control device for controlling the operation of the welding devices and the movement device. Furthermore, the welding devices have a filler material and a heat source for melting the filler material, and weld the welding end surfaces to one another by melting and fusing the filler material to the welding end surfaces. The control device causes the welding devices to weld the welding end surfaces, while causing the movement device to continue rotation by the angle amount corresponding to the arrangement interval of the welding devices.
