Provided is a medium conveyance device, equipped with: a source conveyance unit, which is connected to a supply source supplying a medium that has one surface and another surface that is opposite the one surface, and which conveys the medium; a destination conveyance unit that is connected to a conveyance destination and conveys the medium; another conveyance unit that is connected to another supply accommodation unit and conveys the medium; a switching unit that is connected to the source conveyance unit, the destination conveyance unit, and the other conveyance unit, respectively, and switches a conveyance path so as to convey the medium between two selected conveyance units; and a control unit for controlling the source conveyance unit, the destination conveyance unit, the other conveyance unit, and the switching unit so as to switch the conveyance path of the medium from the supply source in accordance with whether the medium shows the one-surface or the other-surface. |
