CHANNEL LIST UPDATING METHOD AND APPARATUS, AND TERMINAL DEVICE

Provided is a channel list updating method, which is applicable to the field of televisions. The method includes the following steps: receiving a channel list updating command; sending a newest channel list version information acquisition request to a server according to the received channel list updating command; receiving newest channel list version information returned by the server, and judging whether the newest channel list version information is newer than previous channel list version information; when it is judged that the newest channel list version information is newer than the previous channel list version information, sending a newest channel list information acquisition request to the server; and receiving newest channel list information returned by the server, and updating a previous channel list according to the newest channel list information. The channel list updating method in the present invention consumes little time, and shortens channel list updating time.
