In order to prevent the selection of an unintended image by a user and to reliably execute a process pertaining to the selection of an appropriate image, an advertisement distribution system 1 is equipped with: an information management unit that, when the switching of an image displayed in a region that is a portion of a web page is performed, maintains information pertaining to the image displayed prior to the switch, even after the image has been switched; a time information acquisition unit that acquires the timing of the switch and the timing of a selection operation with respect to that region by the user; a selection determination unit that, when the time information acquisition unit acquires the selection operation timing within a prescribed time from the time at which the switch occurred, determines whether the selection operation was for selecting the image displayed prior to the switch or the image displayed after the switch; and a selection response processing unit that, on the basis of the determination, executes a selection response process based on information pertaining to the image displayed prior to the switch or to the image displayed after the switch. |
