The invention relates to a self-powered neutron detector (200) of a pressurised-water nuclear reactor comprising a vessel and a cover (100), said cover having at least one through hole (110) for passing an instrumentation tube (120) comprising a sealing device (300), said detector being intended for being inserted into the core via said instrumentation tube (120) which in turn passes through said cover (100) of said reactor, said detector (200) being characterised in that it includes a hollow outer pipe (210) which surrounds a single coaxial cable (240) forming neutron-detection means, the outer diameter of said hollow outer pipe (210) being dimensioned such as to be inserted through said sealing device located in the instrumentation tube (120) passing through said cover (100) of said nuclear reactor. |
