The invention relates to a method for liquefying a feed gas containing at least 60 mol % of carbon dioxide, in which the gas is mixed with a cycle gas (11, 43) in order to form a gaseous mixture, the gaseous mixture is condensed to form a condensed mixture, at least one portion of the condensed mixture is cooled to form a cooled flow, at least three fractions are derived from the cooled flow, optionally by dividing the cooled flow, at least the first of the three fractions being vaporised in a first exchanger (E1) and compressed in a cycle compressor (C1, C2, C3, C4) before or after being mixed with the feed gas serving as a cycle gas, a second fraction (13) being treated by separation at sub-ambient temperature so as to form a liquid that is rich in carbon dioxide, the second fraction and/or at least one flow derived from the second fraction being reheated and/or cooled in a second exchanger (E1A), separate from the first exchanger, and a third fraction being vaporised in the second exchanger and mixed with the cycle gas or the gaseous mixture. |
