A blower device comprising: a motor unit having a center axis oriented in the vertical direction; an impeller positioned above the motor unit, connected to a rotating section of the motor unit, and sending air from above towards the outside in the radial direction, by rotating; an impeller cover section having an inner surface that covers the outer circumference of the impeller and above the outer circumference edge section and having an air intake port in the center thereof; and a main body cover section coupled to the impeller cover section, covering the outer circumferential surface of the motor unit, and forming a cylindrical space between same and the motor unit. The cylindrical space has an upper area and a lower area positioned on the lower side of the upper area. The distance in the radial direction, between the outer circumferential surface of the motor unit and the inner circumferential surface of the main body cover unit, becomes continually shorter, in the upper area, towards the lower side and becomes continually longer, in the lower area, towards the lower side. The distance in the radial direction in the upper end of the upper area is longer than the distance in the radial direction in the lower end of the lower area. |
