A device for crosslinking a protective paint or the like on a material web which can be wound, in particular for a painting facility, has a heat-insulating housing (22) with a temperature controlled interior (23) in which the material web (20) is deviated at least once in order to crosslink the protective paint. In such a painting facility, the material web coming from a paint application device (12) and provided with a protective paint is guided through a drier (13) into the device (15) for crosslinking the protective paint.
