The invention relates to an explosion-proof assembly (10) comprising a connection housing (11) of the "increased safety" ignition protection type, and an operating means housing (12) of the "pressure-resistant encapsulation" ignition protection type. Via a connection device (17), an electrical plug connection and a mechanical connection can be formed directly between the connection housing (11) and the operating means housing (12).
