The invention concerns an absorbent article (1), such as an incontinence pad, a sanitary towel, a panty liner or the like. The article comprises at least two stacked individual absorbent pads (2, 3). A first of said absorbent pads (2) is configured for being releasably attached to an underwear of a user, and a bottom surface of a second of said absorbent pads (3) is configured for being releasably attached to a top surface of said first absorbent pad (2). The second absorbent pad (3) comprises at least one side portion which has been folded upwardly and inwardly along a substantially longitudinal fold line (10), such as to form an easily graspable gripping flap (11) for simplifying manual handling of the second absorbent pad (3) during removal thereof from the first absorbent pad (2). The invention also concerns a method for manufacturing such an absorbent article (1). |
