<p>501,282. Manures. FARRAR, G. L. Aug. 23, 1937, No. 23059. [Class 111] Raw poultry manure is dried while exposing it to the fumes of burning sulphur, the resulting product being ground. The temperature of the hot surfaces upon which the drying is conducted is initially 900‹ C. This temperature is reduced as the drying continues. The dried product, containing say 10 per cent moisture, is passed to a cooling off chamber and when cooled is ground to powder form.</p> |
