administering an inhibitor of a gene or gene expression product selected from the group consisting of:
Mfsd2A; Slco1C1; Slc38A5; LRP8; Slc3A2; Slc7A5; Slc7A1; Slc6A6; IGFBP7; Glut1; Slc40A1; and Slc30A1 to the subject, whereby the permeability of the blood-brain barrier is increased; or administering an agonist of a gene or gene expression product selected from the group consisting of:
Mfsd2A; Slco1C1; Slc38A5; LRP8; Slc3A2; Slc7A5; Slc7A1; Slc6A6; IGFBP7; Glut1; Slc40A1; and Slc30A1 to the subject, whereby the permeability of the blood-brain barrier is decreased. |
