Abstract The present invention provides an electronic gaming machine (1) comprising a display (7) for displaying a game (8) and an electronic game controller (4). The electronic gaming machine (1) offers a plurality of bonus prize sets (41, 42, 43, 44, 45), each bonus prize set comprising at least one progressive jackpot prize. Some of the bonus prize sets are available for selection by a player. Upon making a designated player selection, the available bonus prize sets become selectable by the player. The player selected bonus prize set becomes active for one or more subsequent plays of the game. One or more of the bonus prizes of the selected bonus prize set are awarded to the player upon the occurrence of a bonus prize trigger event in the subsequent plays.
