TABLE SAWS

Table saws and features for table saws are disclosed. Some of the disclosed features are particularly relevant to portable table saws such as jobsite and bench-top table saws. Disclosed features include, but are not limited to, extendable rails, mechanisms to lock rails in position, drawers, compartments and components to store table saw accessories, switch boxes, dust collection systems, table saw housings, tables, and handles.

1. A saw comprising:
a main table having a side; a blade configured to cut a work piece on the main table; a motor to move the blade; an extension table associated with the main table and configured to move from a retracted position adjacent the side of the main table to an extended position spaced apart from the side of the main table; and a storage compartment positioned below and to the side of the main table, where the extension table covers at least a portion of the storage compartment when the extension table is in its retracted position and provides access to the storage compartment when the extension table is in its extended position.
