It is designed for a journal box (2) having, on each side, a support base in the lower portion comprising a centring pin, and a suspension assembly (5) having outer and inner concentric springs intended to support a same lateral beam (8) of the railway bogie (3). It comprises shimming means comprising two removable bases (19) each designed to rest on a support base, either directly thereupon or indirectly via shimming parts (22), each base (19) having a central opening for positioning same on the centring pin and each base (19) comprising a one-piece cylinder with the upper face thereof receiving the lower ends of the springs. The shimming means are designed, in case of wear to the wheel that needs to be compensated for, to raise the springs and to keep each base (19) centred on the centring pin. |
