In the present invention, there is disclosed a passive combined adsorber for removing water vapor and low concentrations of oxygen from hydrogen produced by water electrolysis, the adsorber comprising an adsorber body (1), a lower detachable cover (7) and an upper detachable cover (8), wherein an inlet of hydrogen to be purified is arranged in the lower detachable cover (7). A first active zone (2) is arranged in the lower portion of the adsorber body (1) wherein a desiccating agent of high sorptive capacity of the silicagel type for partial preliminary purification of hydrogen and increase of the efficiency of a second active zone (3) is placed therein. The second active zone (3), following up with the first active zone (2) and being fixedly coupled with the adsorber body (1), comprises a porous material charge of high content of copper for the removal of oxygen from the purified hydrogen. A third active zone (4) comprising a material of a molecular sieve type for the removal of residual moisture and water occurred in the second active zone (3) is arranged above said second active zone (3). In the upper detachable cover (8), there is arranged outlet of the purified hydrogen, whereby the external portion of the adsorber body (1) jacket is provided with a passive air cooler (10) in the form of lamellas or ribs. |
