The invention is directed to a fishing reel. The fishing reel comprises a reel body (1), a rotating member (3) rotatably supported by the reel body (1), a one-way clutch (5) prohibiting the rotation of the rotating member (3) in one direction and that is fitted to the rotating member, a rotor (11) connecting and rotating with the rotating member (3), wherein the rotor (11) includes a boss section (113), a connecting part connected to the rotating member (3) and extending to the one-way clutch (5), a magnetic body (7) that forms on outer periphery of the boss section (113), a magnet (8) sandwiched between magnetic plates (9a, 9b) in a direction along the rotating member (3), wherein the magnet (8) and magnetic plates (9a, 9b) are configured facing the rotation radius direction and form a gap with the magnetic body (7), and a magnetic fluid (10) disposed in the gap between the magnetic plates (9a, 9b) and the magnetic body (7), whereby the gap between the magnetic plates (9a, 9b) and the magnetic body (7) is sealed. |
