For routing a communication associated with a communication device (CD) within a telecommunications network, an application server (AS) receives a message from the communication device (CD), the message comprising a type of communication and an expected duration (Dc) of communication, identifies an operator offering the lowest tariff from a carrier pre-selection for said type of communication, depending on said expected duration (Dc) of communication, and sends another message comprising an identifier of the identified operator to a call server (CS) in order to route the communication associated with the communication device toward the network of the identified operator. |
