Disclosed are a smart air care system, and a control method thereof. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the smart air care system comprises: a contamination sensor pack where a plurality of contamination substance sensors are mounted; a power controller supplying power to a ventilation device; and a main controller calculating a contamination index for each contamination substance in accordance with a sensing value of each contamination substance sensor received from the contamination sensor pack, calculating an indoor air quality index by applying a preset weight to the contamination index for each contamination substance, and operating the ventilation device by controlling the power controller in accordance with the calculated indoor air quality index. |
