A decorative memorial item and method for producing such, wherein the cremated residue of a deceased human or animal is combined with a solid, preferably glass. The glass is preferably in the form of beads or billets. The mixture, once combined, is either placed into a glass casting kiln in a mould and heated, or in a funnel above a mould where it is heated to become molten then filling the mould. The mould can be any shape. The created item has the ash of the deceased suspended in the glass, and the ash may be either visible or not visible on the exterior of the product. The item may be coloured and may have smooth, textured, or multiple smooth and textured faces. |
