ANTIBODY THAT RECONIZES THE BETA-1 INTEGRIN AND USE OF THE ANTIBODY

The present invention relates to a novel monoclonal antibody having high specificity and affinity to beta-1 integrin protein which is associated with inhibition and progression of tumor. The present invention further relates to a therapeutic use for nonsmall-cell lung cancer using the same. The antibody of the present invention can be used for treating nonsmall-cell lung cancer since the antibody induces the apoptosis of a cell developing nonsmall-cell lung cancer. In addition, it has been found that the therapeutic effects on nonsmall-cell lung cancer is maximized by injecting cisplatin in conjunction with the antibody. Thus, the antibody of the present invention can be useful for treating lung cancer.
