The present invention proposes a terminal device which may optimally control a CA function in order to secure a maximum of a data transfer rate while reducing interference in an adjacent cell for a sub-cell (SCell), which necessarily occurs, in a heterogeneous network environment in which cells having various sizes coexist, and in particular, a cell in which CA is not supported coexists, and a method of operating the same. The terminal device comprises: a connecting unit; an interference confirming unit; a determining unit determining a certain connection change scheme among a plurality of certain connection change schemes when interference in an adjacent cell reaches a certain level or higher; and a connection control unit changing a connection to at least cell of a plurality of cells and adjacent cells according to certain connection change schemes. |
