An information forwarding method includes: obtaining data information to be forwarded which carries a route indicator indicating a destination edge network, obtaining border router information in the destination edge network according to the route indicator, and sending the data information to the border router in the destination edge network for forwarding. An information forwarding device is also provided. When Internet routes increase rapidly, the present invention may reduce the cost of devices that store routing tables in the entire network, increase the speed of route convergence in the network, and improve the work efficiency of the entire system. Furthermore, the present invention is easy to implement. |
