Embodiments relate to a method for controlling a content delivery device (3), executed by a controlling device (4), comprising:
- receiving (T1) at least one request information message (M1) representative of requests (RQ) for content received by the content delivery device (3),
- for at least some of the requests (RQ), determining (T2) application instances (A) associated with the requests, thereby grouping requests associated with the same application instance, and
- in response to an overload indication message (M2) received (T3) from the content delivery device, selecting (T4) at least one application instance and sending (T5), to the content delivery device, a instruction message (M3) specifying the requests associated with the selected application instance. |
