The thermal device having a magnetocaloric material provided with a magnetic field generator (1) comprises an assembly (20) of anisotropic permanent magnets (30, 31) defining a gap (40). This assembly comprises a first element (21) and a second element (22) lying in the same plane and mounted so as to face each other, and including at least three permanent magnets (30, 31). The permanent magnets (30, 31) consist of polyhedral blocks that are arranged substantially in the form of a circular arc on either side of a magnetic flux concentrator (90) and are held laterally in position with respect to one another using positioning means in surface contact with said permanent magnets (30, 31). |
