A communication terminal for using detected location information of a train to be used for cell search, cell measurement, handover, or a signal reception algorithm includes: a location sensor receiver performing a function of allowing the communication terminal to receive location information from at least one location sensor provided in a train or on tracks or a location information receiving module inside the communication terminal; a location information converting object converting location information to a cell ID mapped using a preset mapping table based on the location information received by the location sensor receiver; and an interface performing an interface support function so as to perform cell search, cell measurement, handover, or a signal reception algorithm using the cell ID information converted by the location information converting object. According to the prevent invention, location information of a train or an on board terminal can be applied to a communication algorithm (cell search, cell measurement, handover, signal reception, etc.) of a terminal in train communications characterized by regularity of base station arrangement and regularity of a terminal moving pattern, thus effectively improving the entire reliability of the communication algorithm. |
