A unit for automatic assembling of groups of permanent magnets, with alternating north and south poles, has a vertical input conveyor track 1, having two slots into which permanent magnets are positioned side-by-side, such that they are separated and with poles in opposite directions. The magnets drop onto a horizontal output conveyor 2 and, where the two conveyors meet, are pushed along by a block 32 moving in a reciprocating motion along the line of the output conveyor 2. The backwards and forwards motion of the block 32 may be driven by a rotating wheel 33, coupled to the block 32 by a rod 34. The reciprocating mechanism may also include a base 31, and shaft and bearing components. The input conveyor 1, output conveyor 2, the push block 32 and base 31 may be made from non-magnetic materials. Multiple units may be arranged in a production line. |
